Some of the things you´ll do
· Operate pilot-scale line and equipment for battery cell prototyping, ensuring accurate execution of defined processes.
· Collaborate with the cell development team to deliver daily and weekly outputs in line with project plans.
· Support prototype builds across different stages of the battery cell manufacturing process (e.g., electrode preparation, assembly, formation, testing).
· Create CAD models for product prototyping tasks, including parts, fixtures, and tooling to support R&D activities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
A university degree is not required; however, significant hands-on experience (e.g., 3+ years) in mechanical and/or electrical roles within an industrial manufacturing environment is essential.
Experience as a production or laboratory technician, ideally in prototyping, pilot lines, or R&D support.
Competence in CAD modelling (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent) for product and equipment-related tasks.
Competence in data collection, process documentation, and reporting.
Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

Some of the things you´ll do
The Electrode Process Engineer is responsible for developing, stabilizing, and scaling electrode manufacturing processes in a battery cell pilot-line environment. The line operates at prototype and pilot scale rather than mass production and supports R&D development, Design of Experiments (DoE), and industrialization preparation.
The role focuses primarily on electrode production processes including slurry mixing, coating, slitting and calendering.
The engineer owns process definition and optimization, creates bill-of-process parameters, troubleshoots equipment and materials issues, and collaborates closely with R&D to transfer laboratory-scale electrode concepts into scalable manufacturing processes.
For example:
• Own and develop electrode manufacturing processes: slurry mixing, coating, drying, and calendering.
• Define and maintain process parameters and Bill-of-Processes (BoP) optimize processes for quality, repeatability, and scalability.
• Lead root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Assess manufacturability and processability of new active materials and formulations
• Actively operate electrode equipment together with technicians during production and trials.
• Transfer electrode technologies from R&D lab scale to pilot and pre-industrial scale.
• Troubleshoot coating, mixing, and calendering equipment issues.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

The role ensures that pilot-line operations, laboratories, and future industrial scale-up activities comply with Swedish legislation, EU directives, and internal safety standards.
The HSE Engineer builds the HSE framework from the ground up, establishing structured processes, risk management routines, and a strong safety culture across the organization. Some of the things you´ll do
Lead the end-to-end design of cathode manufacturing processes including precursor synthesis, solid & liquid-state reactions, Liquid & Solid separation, drying, milling, classification, and homogeneity.
Translate R&D processes to pilot and commercial scale, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and robustness while maintaining material performance.
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;), mass and energy balances, and facility layout inputs in collaboration with engineering partners.
Define process requirements for equipment, support RFQ process, conduct technical evaluations, and collaborate with suppliers and procurement.



Qualifications and Education Requirements
Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
· 7+ years of experience in process development or engineering, ideally within cathode materials, powder handling, or chemical processing.
· Proven experience in designing and scaling complex continuous or batch manufacturing systems.

• Experience with ERP systems (preferably Dynamics 365) from a process or key-user perspective.

Your Role
Altris has an exciting opportunity for a Cathode Material Quality Engineer within our Cathode Development team. This role is central to our mission to produce novel, world-leading sodium-ion cathode materials for use in both Altris’ internal cell development programs and for external customers across a variety of applications
As a Cathode Material Quality Engineer, you work in the core of Altris - evaluating the electrochemical performance and material quality of our production and R&D cathode materials. This role focuses on the characterization of Prussian blue analogues utilizing physical and electrochemical techniques which are uniquely suited to the unique chemistry of the cathode material. You will be responsible for improving method documentation and standard procedures for material handling and analysis which will also be used to guide scale up operations with international partners.
You will be responsible for performing analysis using characterization tools such as PSD; BET, karl fischer titration, tap density measurements etc to gain unique insights to Altris’ cathode materials for production quality control and intellectual property development. In addition, the position has a broader requirement for quality evaluation of slurry making via rheology measurements and electrochemical evaluation (galvanostatic cycling, rate testing) using coin and single layer pouch cells. Due to the integral nature of material quality, you will be required to engage and educate multidisciplinary teams on the importance of quality analysis and the unique insights that material characterization brings at all stages of material production and processing. In addition, as required you will train others and share learnings in the team on best practice.
Your responsibility will extend from rigorous testing of cathode materials to other components used in batteries, as necessary, interpreting and analyzing data to ensure compliance with our quality standards and performance criteria.
This position requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in battery technology, material science, or related fields.
Key responsibilities include

Ensure all production materials and RnD samples meet our baseline quality standards.
Carry out routine material characterisation to evaluate key material characteristics.
Evaluate materials
Performing coin cell tests on production and Altris produced cathode materials (Primary Focus) and other suppliers cathode and anode materials, analysing the data, reporting and feeding information back.
Performing electrochemical testing on single layer pouch formats
Lead root-cause analyses of development issues affecting material quality and electrochemical performance
Continuously improve material characterisation methods (physical and electrochemical) for assessing material characteristics.
Develop clear and concise reports and present back to key stakeholders



Requirements
· Minimum MSc degree in chemistry or physics areas or similar experience
· 5+ years of work experience of which a minimum of 3 years should be at an industrial company with hands on
experience in producing and testing coin cells
· Experience of working with characterization of cathode active material
· Experience in Material quality work and method validation
Experience in industrial relevant cathode chemistries is preferred but not a requirement.
Skills and Abilities
· Strong capabilities with data handling, treatment and analysis including utilising python (or similar) to automate the processing and presentation of complex data

Your Role
As a Program Manager, you will lead technology programs with some of the most ambitious automotive OEMs in the world. You’ll be responsible for managing complex customer programs from start to finish — ensuring technical delivery, commercial success, and strong customer relationships. A key part of your responsibility will be to lead a cutting-edge cell development project, taking our next-generation sodium-ion technology from concept through to customer qualification and industrialization.
You will
Lead and manage customer programs in the automotive segment, from program initiation to industrialization and delivery.
Act as the main interface between Altris and key automotive customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with requirements.
Drive a major cell development project, coordinating technical milestones, testing, validation, and scale-up in close collaboration with R&D and engineering teams.
Manage program planning, execution, risk management, and reporting.

Your Profile
We’re looking for a Customer Program Manager who combines strong project management skills with commercial acumen and customer focus. You are structured, proactive, and skilled at building trust with demanding stakeholders in an international environment.
You have
A university degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.
Proven experience in project or program management, preferably in the automotive or battery/energy storage sector.
Formal project management education/certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous but not required.
Strong commercial understanding and experience managing contracts and customer negotiations.
Experience leading technology development projects, ideally in cell or battery R&D.
Experience working with cross-functional, international teams.
Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is an advantage.

What Were looking for

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and automating our Sodium-Ion cathode manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
Defining and development of automation requirements specification and control system architecture
Design and implement automation systems for advanced factories, consisting of conveyors, vision systems, AGV’s and specialized manufacturing equipment
Be part of the team to select key automation solution suppliers and collaborate to deliver turnkey solutions to enable prototyping or manufacturing.
Work jointly with industrialization and manufacturing teams to identify and implement new opportunities to upgrade automated processes and increase productivity.
Develop and implement control strategies for automated systems, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and communication between different components.
Analyze and improve automation processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize operational costs.
Diagnose and resolve issues in control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Provide technical support and maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.

What Were looking for
Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering
4+ years of experience within Industrial Automation in automated manufacturing environments such as: automotive, batteries CAM, semiconductors, pharmaceutical, medical devices etc.
Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram
3+ years PLC/SCADA programming, especially Siemens TIA portal systems and Beckhoff
3+ years in OPC connectivity and MES interfaces
Experience in designing electrical schematics using CAD tools such as EPlan or AutoCAD

As a Production Manager at Altris you will be a part of the Production and responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process within the company. Your primary goal is to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiency while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
You will be responsible for creating production schedules and timelines, coordinating resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production goals. As leader of the unit, you will have the opportunity to build a competent and dependable team, capable to scale Altris operations in Sweden and beyond. Your responsibilities:
Directing and managing production staff, including hiring, training and evaluating employees to ensure they are capable of performing their roles effectively.
Production management within the given QCD frame, reporting, planning and execution, making sure the CEO, the Board and collaboration parties get an adequate picture of the project status and that the program targets and KPIs are being followed.
Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or personnel issues, to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity.

Skills & Requirements:
The person we are looking for is a person with a proven track record of running process development projects and programs. A shaper and implementer with strong leadership skills.
Minimum Masters degree in chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, material engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical, food, paper & pulp, power generation plants), with experience in processes with both solution/precipitation as well as powder and solid handling.
Proven program and/or project leadership.
Very good English skills, both in writing and verbal.

As a Material Quality Engineer within our Cathode Quality Development and Control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of materials produced for our batteries. Your key duties will include rigorous testing of battery materials and components, as well as data analysis to confirm compliance with our strict quality standards. This role focuses on evaluating the performance of Altris's cathode materials within battery cells, primarily through small-scale coin cell testing, with additional testing on larger cells.
In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between material-level analysis and electrochemical cell performance, providing essential feedback to our material development team. To fulfill these responsibilities, your time will be divided between our two Uppsala locations: 70% at Rapsgatan (home to our cell production facility) and 30% at Kungsgatan (where our cathode production and development teams are based).
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in battery technology, materials science, or a related field.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

Collaborate with the Cathode Quality Team to ensure all production batches of Altris Cathode Material, including R&D samples, are tested in accordance with our Quality Control protocols and meet baseline quality standards.
Generate reports for successful batches and perform root cause analysis with detailed reporting for defective batches.
Conduct various battery cell-level tests to assess cathode material performance, including slurry evaluations, off-gassing trials, and the production of multiple coin cells (with occasional testing of larger cells).
Perform routine electrochemical characterization to evaluate material performance and ensure alignment with performance criteria.
Continuously improve quality inspection methods for assessing cathode performance at the cell level by introducing innovative electrochemical evaluation techniques.
Provide timely feedback from cell-level analyses to the cathode team. Offer training and share insights with the broader cathode team to improve the overall understanding of cell-level inspection techniques.
Lead root-cause analysis of development issues impacting cell quality using structured problem-solving methods.
Develop comprehensive reports and present findings to key stakeholders, including senior management, the production team, and external customers.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional technical teams, ensuring seamless information flow for informed decision-making.
Collaborate with production and process engineers to maintain and optimize product performance, ensuring the highest quality standards are consistently met.

You will be involved in a wide range of tasks which span across production preparation, material handling and loading, production batch run and monitoring, unloading and packaging, post production cleaning, post production checks, maintaining facility and equipment. As a technician in our production site, you will play a key role being a champion for safety. Safety is of paramount importance for us here at Altris, it is imperative that the candidate has a strong sense for safety, following procedures and is well organized.

You will work in a modern workplace with a new innovative battery technology with the aim of enabling the transition to a carbon free society.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

- Ensuring safe operation by following safety procedures

- Execute tasks within the production environment as specified by the production engineer and in accordance with production plans and standard operating procedures. The tasks include but are not limited to:

- Preparation for production runs; inspection of equipment, pre production checks (i.e. leaks), loading of material into vessels and reactors

- Production Run: supporting the responsible production engineer, monitoring progress of production, transport of material from one process to another, conducting inspections and logging process parameters

- Unloading and Packaging; driving the packaging step, taking samples of material ensuring correct labels

- Post production; submitting production report and engaging in clean up activities to ensure the next production run can take place swiftly after.

- Maintenance; conducting regular maintenance checks and inspection on equipment. This will use the candidates prior experience within the electrical and/or mechanical to fix & maintain electrical and mechanical components (valves, pumps, electrical controls, etc)

- Actively maintain, contribute and take responsibility for the set 5S standard and ambition to drive a safe and standardized production process/environment.

- Actively contribute to continual improvement workstreams

- Prepare and take part in root cause analysis workstreams

- Support managers and colleagues in creating a good working environment through inclusion, motivation, curiosity and good communication.

Requirements

Qualifications/education/experience:

- 2+ years of work experience within a production environment (prefer chemical production environment)

- Experience working in a hands-on environment / someone who enjoys being hands-on

- Strong experience working with machinery (operating & maintaining) from a electrical and/or mechanical perspective


Specific skills (e.g. specific programmes, languages, certifications etc.)

- High level of accountability; someone who thrives of finishing tasks / meeting deadlines.

- Experience working in a hands on environment with machinery, mechanical equipment and/or electrical equipment.

- Good understanding of machines and equipment’s: Pumps, pipes, valves etc.

- A keen eye on safety; working with chemical productions always present a Hazard. A responsible individual who holds safety as a key value is considered a must

- Experience working in accordance with procedures and supporting in developing procedures

- High work ethic with a strong personal drive and determination

- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently

- Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressurised environment (start up)

- Strong Communication Skills in English (Oral and Written)
