Applied Nano Surfaces (ANS) is in an expansive phase, where we are working on taking our patented technology to full scale implementation with our customers. Our technology has during the last years been verified on a number of customer components, both within automotive industry and other industrial applications. With the first license agreements in place, we are now taking the step from prototype manufacturing to implementation in full scale production. The transformation of the automotive industry to electric drive vehicles have also created new market opportunities for ANS and we are therefore expanding our process offer. To meet the increased demand from our customers we are now looking to strengthen our technical team with a development engineer.

Development Engineer within thermal processing and coating
As a development engineer at ANS you shall have a genuine technical interest and like to work hands on. You will have responsibility for advancing our ”Thermal Processing and Coating” product offer and will develop the technique in cooperation with our partners and customers. The process combines heat treatments with chemical deposition of low friction tribo-films. We believe therefore that you have a M.Sc. in chemical- or materials engineering. It is advantageous if you have a few years of experience from product development within industry but it is not a must, for the right person with the right drive and motivation there is room for fast development as well.
The intended role implies a diverse spectrum of assignments. You will perform surface treatments using lab equipment and industrial machinery and evaluate results. You will lead projects, both internal development projects and to evaluate our treatment together with customers on their components. Some focus areas going forward will be quality assurance, setting up an industrial process and process monitoring. You will also have the responsibility to, in cooperation with our CTO, maintain and structure ANS chemical laboratory and the blending of our process fluids. As the role include technical support to the sales team and numerous contact surfaces with people outside of the ANS organization you should have the ability to create and maintain good relations. You are independent and can draw conclusions from technical results and take decisions on a way forward. At the same time, you are part of a 10-person technical team and contribute to team spirit and share knowledge.
You must be able to document results in technical reports and present to colleagues and customers. Many of our customers are international and you need to be comfortable with communicating in English, both verbally and written. The role will include some travel both domestic and international. Driver license B is a must. You will be working at our office in Uppsala and physical presence is required as the role include a lot of practical work, but work from home office may be possible to some minor extent.

Applied Nano Surfaces (ANS) är inne i en expansiv fas där vi arbetar med att ta vår patenterade teknik mot implementering hos våra kunder. Tekniken har under de senaste åren verifierats på ett stort antal kundkomponenter, både inom fordonsindustri och inom industriella applikationer, och med de första licensavtalen på plats så tar vi nu steget från prototyptillverkning till implementering i fullskalig produktion. Omställningen till eldrift inom fordonsindustrin har också skapat nya potentiella marknader för ANS och vi har därför expanderat vårt processutbud. För att kunna möta upp efterfrågan från våra kunder behöver vi därför stärka upp teknikgruppen med ytterligare medarbetare.
Maskin/Processoperatör
Som maskin/processoperatör ska du ha ett genuint teknikintresse och vara praktiskt lagd. Du kommer att ta en aktiv roll i vårt teknikarbete där du kommer bistå med maskinkörningar och tester enligt förbestämda riktlinjer. Du fungerar som en viktig resurs i både utvecklings- och kundprojekt och gillar att ha tydliga uppsatta arbetsuppgifter, men bidrar också gärna med egna tankar, iakttagelser och idéer för att hjälpa till att utveckla processerna. Erfarenhet av att köra styrda maskiner är ett starkt plus, eftersom ett flertal av våra kundprojekt kommer att köras i våra trumlingsmaskiner, CNC-styrda svarvar, fräs- och heningsmaskiner, men är ej ett krav. Du har därför med fördel arbetslivserfarenhet inom området, men kan också precis ha gått ut gymnasiet med vilja att komma ut och utvecklas i arbetslivet. Stor vikt kommer härvid att läggas på personliga egenskaper.
Tjänsten kan potentiellt innefatta sporadiska resor, både inom Sverige och utomlands. B-körkort är ett krav. Placeringsort är Uppsala.
