Do you want to work with advanced surface technologies that solve real industrial challenges in friction, wear, and efficiency? We are now looking for an engineer to join Tribonex AB and contribute to the development and industrialization of our Triboconditioning® technology.

About the role
As an Engineer within Triboconditioning®, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and implementing surface treatment processes for demanding industrial applications. Our technology is used to improve performance and lifetime of components such as gears, bearings, shafts, and other tribological systems.
You will work in a small, highly specialized team where you combine hands-on laboratory work with analytical and customer-oriented tasks. The role spans from process development and testing to customer projects and industrial scale-up.

Your responsibilities
· Develop and optimize Triboconditioning® processes for different materials and applications
· Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory and pilot-scale experiments
· Work with surface characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, profilometry, XRF)
· Support customer projects with technical expertise and documentation
· Contribute to industrialization and scaling of processes to production environments
· Collaborate with production partners and external stakeholders

Your profile
We believe you have a strong technical foundation combined with a curiosity for applied engineering challenges.
Requirements:
· MSc in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar
· Understanding of tribology, surface chemistry, or materials science
· Experience with experimental work and data analysis
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Meritorious:
· Experience in surface treatment, coatings, or chemical processes
· Knowledge of friction and wear mechanisms
· Experience from industrial environments or production processes
· Familiarity with analytical tools such as SEM or similar

Tribonex AB hiring Process technician
Tribonex is in an intensive industrialization phase, where we are working on taking our surface finishing technologies to full scale implementation with our customers. Our technologies have been verified on a number of customer components, both within automotive industry and other industrial applications. With the first license agreements in place and start of initial in-house production, we are now looking to scale up and increase the production volumes. The transformation of the automotive industry towards electric drive and the emergence of the AM market have also created new market opportunities for Tribonex and our process offerings. To meet the increased demand from our customers we are now looking to strengthen our technical team with a process technician.

Process technician within surface finishing and mechanochemical surface treatment
As a process technician at Tribonex you shall have a genuine technical interest and like to work hands on. You will be working together with a team of engineers to advance and apply our Surface finishing products and our patented Triboconditioning® process on different applications in cooperation with our partners and customers. You will also be performing small series production, setting up and applying processes on various production platforms, evaluate quality and plan for in-time delivery. We believe therefore that you have an technical high school education and interest in working with industrial manufacturing methods and taking the product from development to production. If you have previous experience from similar work it is regarded as an advantage. You must have the ability to take own initiative and have an opportunistic, problem-solving mindset. For the right person with the right drive and motivation there is room for fast development and chance to have a prominent role in advancing our surface finishing business area.
The intended role implies a diverse spectrum of assignments. You will perform surface treatments using lab equipment and industrial machinery and evaluate results. You will participate in activities, both internal development and to evaluate our treatment together with customers on their components. Further key areas will be setting up industrial processes and work with quality assurance and process monitoring. As the role include technical support to the sales team and contact surfaces with people outside of the Tribonex organization you should be comfortable in communicating with other people. You are independent and can draw conclusions from technical results and take decisions on a way forward. At the same time, you are part of a technical team and contribute to team spirit and share knowledge.
You must be able to document results in simple technical reports and present to colleagues and customers. The role may include some travel both domestic and international. Experience in machine programming is a plus, driver license B is a must. You will be working at our office in Uppsala and physical presence is required as the role include a lot of practical work, but work from home office is possible to some minor extent.
