The craft of creating beautiful and finger-lickingly awesome food in a consistent way is at the heart of what we do. As Kitchen Leader you will be cooking yourself, and making sure that an amazing team performs at their best.
You keep a keen eye on the crew’s development, making sure that anyone who shows strong leadership skills are recognised and enrolled in leadership training programs.
Who are you?
Perhaps you have a background in the restaurant or retail industry as a floor manager and enjoy being responsible for both quality results and customer satisfaction? Perhaps you have no previous cooking experience but you are a fast learner with natural leadership skills who would enjoy a challenge? What you will actually do
If you think about the kitchen as a ship, we have created the most well-oiled, efficient and passionate machine known to man. It runs on a steady stream of fantastic ingredients that are turned into spectacular food ready to be delivered to eager customers. You need to make sure every single crew member in the kitchen knows her or his role and what is expected of them, and train them when they don’t.
Every day (overall approx. 80% of the job)
Cooking - Ensuring all food leaving the kitchen looks and tastes amazing and is packaged correctly
Coaching and demonstrating correct techniques - making sure everyone knows what they are supposed to do
Keeping motivation and morale high by any means necessary (almost)
Making sure the crew are trained and knowledgeable


Regularly (but approx. max 20% of your time)
Have an overall responsibility for the onboarding of new crew
Manage food safety which includes: Ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and enforcing the Daily Food Safety Checklist and food safety policies and procedures

Curry Buddies offers 100% vegan home cooked fusion food with taste of Desi. Taste inspiration are mainly from the desi countries; Bangladesh, Indien, Pakistan & Sri Lanka.
We do crossovers with different countries food culture with spices from Desi. We like to have fun with the food and also spread our joy to our "Buddies" who are our supporters and customers.

We are located in Uppsala.


Food Truck - Dayshift (SLU)
Tasks:
You will start your shift at the Take Away.
- Pack the stuff
- Take the truck (Latest: 09:30)
- Open at 10:00
- Close at 14:00
- Take the Food Truck back
- Put back whatever food is left to the kitchen staff
- Do the dishes
6 hours shift with Food Truck at SLU. Simple cooking. Serving hot and cold food, desserts & beverages. Keep it clean. Service Minded. Handle payment through digital cash register. Driving license is required.
Monday - Friday
Shift starts: 09:00
Shift ends: 15:00
Paid trial for 6 months (Provanställning). Those who get to sign a permanent contract after 6 months of paid trial at Curry Buddies, will be able to have a share of the company.


Vegan Wagon - dayshift (City)
Tasks:
You will start your shift at the Take Away.
- Do the dishes.
- Pack the stuff
- Take the Wagon (Latest: 10:00)
- Open at 10:30
6 hours shift with Vegan Wagon at St Eriks Torg (Next to Domkyrkan). Simple cooking. Serving hot and cold food, desserts & beverage. Keep it clean. Service Minded. Handle payment through digital cash register. Driving license is required.
Monday – Saturday
Shift starts: 09:00
Shift ends: 15:00
Paid trial for 6 months (Provanställning). Those who get to sign a permanent contract after 6 months of paid trial at Curry Buddies, will be able to have a share of the company.


Vegan Wagon – Evening Shift (City)
Tasks:
- Close the Wagon 20:00
- Leave city 20:30 (latest)
- Put back Food & dishes
6 hours shift with Vegan Wagon at St Eriks Torg (Next to Domkyrkan). Serving hot and cold food, desserts & beverage. Keep it clean. Service Minded. Handle payment through digital cash register. Driving license is required.
Monday – Saturday
Shift starts: 15:00
Shift ends: 21:00
Paid trial for 6 months (Provanställning). Those who get to sign a permanent contract after 6 months of paid trial at Curry Buddies, will be able to have a share of the company.


We will prioritize those who are:
· Age between 20 and 25 years who has been without any job at least 6 of the latest 9 months.
· Age 25 and above who has been without job more than 12 months of 15 months.
