What we do isn’t easy - but we’re doing it! By moving forestry above the tree tops, we tend to all values of the forests. We provide a non-invasive land management operation with our lightweight and high-capacity electric drones. As a Drone Test Pilot at AirForestry, you are more than a pilot - you are part of something truly groundbreaking. You play a pivotal role in our Flight Test team in planning, executing and evaluating the flight test process. This places great demands on you in many aspects, such as being able to work closely with different stakeholders within our R&D organization, understand the importance of good and safe communication and logistics, as well as having a good technical understanding of and respect for our system as a whole.
In everything you do, you are guided by the word ‘safety’ - both for yourself and others. It defines your entire way of working and is something you never compromise on. As our new Drone Test Pilot, you will complete our certified drone training program.
Examples of what you’ll be doing as Drone Test Pilot:
Planning Flight tests, meaning specifying purpose and desirable results together with R&D, planning for suitable resources and coordinating the logistics around the entire testing process.
Executing specified flight tests by operating our drones, ensuring safety procedures are followed using your strong spatial skills.
Evaluation is the key to success - you and the team are continuously reviewing both individual test results, as well as our whole testing process, ensuring that we test best practice. Self-assessment is something that comes naturally to you.
You have:
Degree in Engineering or other relevant field, such as software, mechanics, mechatronics or electronics.
Experience working in technical focused role, in software, mechatronics, electronics or other related field.
Great understanding om complex technical solutions.
Experience from working in a safety focused organization, with a keen understanding of the perspective ‘safety for yourself and others’.
Interest in and experience from some kind of hands-on field work.
Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have:
Experience from relevant Aerial Vehicles, such as UAV/UAS (drone or model aircraft), private pilot and/or commercial aviation.
Depending on your background and interest, there’s a good possibility to contribute to our R&D within your field.
