Main responsibilities

Participate and contribute to the production of technical samples, reference, and control samples.
Contribute to technical requirements in product specifications.
Participate and contribute at quality control of immunoassays and/or genotyping assays.
Participate and contribute at verification of new lots and/or immunoassays for different biomarkers and genotyping assays.
Coordinate troubleshooting of issues with test methods, optimize protocols and propose solutions to improve.

Experience analyzing data and using basic statistical analysis.
Experience in writing protocols, reports, and instructions.
Fluent in using English as a business language, both written and spoken.

Software Engineer
A3P Biomedical is a Swedish diagnostics company specialized in advanced prostate cancer diagnostics. A3P’s main product, Stockholm3, a blood test for early detection of aggressive prostate cancer, has the potential to radically improve prostate cancer diagnostics. A3P Biomedical’s vision is to significantly reduce the mortality of prostate cancer, one of the world’s most common cancers. We are currently promoting and selling Stockholm3 in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain and will enter more markets in the near future, with a focus on Europe and the US.
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Uppsala. You would be part of a team that is responsible forproviding systems operation and administration services to the laboratory in the areas of LIMS development,implementationand maintenance.
Main responsibilities
Maintain Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Creation and maintenance of system documentation
Maintain LIMS integration to external systems to A3P Biomedical existing suppliers
Troubleshoot application problems to minimize error potential and streamline laboratory workflow.
Support the identification, definition, and implementation of more efficient processes around LIMS design, change management, and interfaces
Develop scripts to retrieve requested data from the LIMS
Execute qualification or verification testing to support final implementation of LIMS configuration additions/revisions/interfaces
Execute acceptance testing on LIMS upgrades to ensure performance before general release.
Contribute to development of new software solutions.
Responsibilities will include collaborating with the LIMS users, IT department and Finance to ensure new functionality meets user requirements, writing acceptance test scripts for new LIMS functionality and participating in the validation of new software releases.
As our Software Engineer you will work closely with the LIMS users, Process and Product development, and you will be integrated both into laboratory and development project activities.
Qualifications
Education
University degree in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, IT or equivalent field.

Experience
Good communication, interpersonal effectiveness, and organizational skills
Solution-oriented and always strives for good collaborations
Good experience in writing of applicable documentation to maintain LIMS.
Good knowledge of Testing and Validation of developed software and tools
Technical Skills & Knowledge:

-Computer networking
-Microsoft Office
Programming experience:
-
-Python and C#.NET
3+ years of experience in maintaining and implementing a LIMS system
2+ years of laboratory experience
Demonstrated ability to support multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment in a positive and collaborative manner
Excellent communication skills in English
It is a plus if you also have
Experience in setup and maintenance of Elastic Stack.
Experience in Kubernetes.
Experience in DevOps.

Your tasks
- Registration of incoming samples and sorting to their different destinations
- Performing methods for protein measurements, DNA extraction and genotyping
- Result and quality control analysis and evaluation
- Use of pipetting robots and multiple analyzing instruments
- Use of manual pipets, both standard and electronic
- Working closely with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Follow cleaning routines
- Running and Maintenance of the lab, including cleaning etc.
- Documentation: writing reports, instructions
- Biobanking of samples for future research and development
- Implementing study projects together with a senior member of the Stockholm3 team
Laboratory work hours:
Full-time. Daytime.
Qualifications
- License as a biomedical scientist (BMA), a Master's degree or Bachelor's in biomedicine, biotechnology or equivalent
- Documented knowledge in English (oral and writing)
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience of working in a clinical and/or accredited laboratory
- Experience of production, quality control, validation, education, GLP, GMP, GDPR compliance
- Laboratory work experience
- Good understanding of the Swedish language. The ambition of learning more is a strong plus
