About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Product Development team within R&D. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of antibody-based assays for immunofluorescence, tissue imaging, and cell culture applications. Your work will directly support the creation of robust, scalable products for research use.
You will work across both tissue samples and cell culture systems, applying your expertise to develop assays that meet performance, reproducibility, and manufacturability standards. This role is ideal for a scientist who thrives in a structured, goal-oriented environment and enjoys translating scientific concepts into reliable products.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and optimize antibody-based assays for immunofluorescence, tissue staining, and microscopy.
· Design and execute experiments using both tissue sections and cell cultures, including non-adherent and adherent cell lines.
· Select and evaluate antibodies, reagents, and protocols for tissue- and cell-based applications.
· Perform assay validation, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure reproducibility.
· Ensure assay robustness and scalability for productization.
· Support the transfer of assays into production and quality control, including documentation and SOP development.
· Contribute to experimental planning, data analysis, and reporting.
· Participate in design reviews and product specification discussions.
· Test and refine image analysis workflows.
· Stay current with scientific and technological advancements.
· Mentor and train colleagues or students in relevant techniques.
Qualifications
Required:
· PhD (or equivalent experience) in molecular biology, biotechnology, immunology, neuroscience, cancer biology, or related fields.
· Proven hands-on expertise in immunofluorescence, tissue staining, microscopy, antibody evaluation, and cell culture.
· Strong background in cell signaling, cancer biology, or neuroscience.
· Experience in assay development, optimization, and validation.
· Familiarity with image analysis tools and workflows.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
· Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Desired (not required):
· Experience working in regulated or structured product development environments (e.g., RUO).
· Ability to balance scientific rigor with practical constraints of product timelines and manufacturing.
· Understanding of design control principles and product lifecycle documentation.

About the Role
We are hiring an image analysis lead to build and maintain advanced imaging pipelines for spatial-biology assays. You’ll lead a small team, collaborate closely with R&D scientists, and deliver robust image analysis for both internal R&D and external service projects. This is a hands-on leadership role combining coding, scientific interpretation, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and deploy automated workflows for registration, segmentation, and quantification of multiplex tissue images.
· Combine open-source and commercial tools (e.g., QuPath, CellProfiler, Python scripts) to meet project requirements.
· Lead a small science team; apply agile methods and sprint planning aligned to Navinci’s timelines.
· Work closely with assay developers to translate biological questions into quantitative image metrics.
· Lead analysis for internal and external projects, delivering high-quality reports and visualizations.
· Maintain reproducible codebases, apply validation frameworks, and pilot emerging tools or ML methods.
· Play a key role in scaling Navinci’s image analysis infrastructure to support a growing portfolio of spatial-proteomics assays and data-intensive projects.
· Ensure delivery of reproducible, high-quality image analysis within project timelines and aligned to predefined accuracy and robustness criteria.
Qualifications
Required:
· MSc or PhD in Bioimage Informatics, Computational Biology, or related field
· 7+ years’ experience in image analysis for tissue-based assays (biotech or life sciences)
· Proficient in Python (NumPy, SciPy, scikit-image), MATLAB, or similar
· Strong grasp of registration, segmentation, and spatial quantification techniques
· Familiarity with tissue imaging challenges
· Proven ability to lead and mentor small technical teams in an agile, fast-paced environment.
· Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred:
· Experience with containerized workflows and version control
· Background in spatial omics or multiplexed imaging platforms

· Translate lab protocols to small-batch manufacturing; document and qualify processes with Quality and Operations.
· Collaborate with Applications, Operations, and Commercial to ensure technical readiness, reagent availability, and customer support.
· Troubleshoot customer issues, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvements in performance and usability.
Qualifications
Required:
· PhD or MSc in Molecular Biology, or related field
· 7+ years of experience in product development (molecular probes, reagents, or RUO kits)
· Hands-on knowledge of assay validation, and small-batch manufacturing
· Experience with SOPs, technical specifications, design transfer, and QC processes

Navinci (formerly Olink Bioscience) is a Uppsala based life science company who develops, manufactures, and sells unique laboratory test consumables for cancer research to a world-wide customer base.
Navinci is now rapidly scaling up our production and product sales, and we are therefore looking to expand our team with a newly formed role with responsibility for orders and shipping. The role is cross- functional between Production and Sales and Marketing. The role requires a strong focus on customer service and organizational skills, as well as good communication skills.
Reporting to our Production Manager, the successful candidate will manage all incoming orders, prepare and organize product shipments to customers, and send out invoices. Additional responsibilities will be discussed depending on the successful candidate's profile and experience.

Your responsibilities
Your mission will be to contribute to company success by ensuring incoming orders are promptly and correctly handled and shipped.
You will be accountable for meeting deadlines and to contribute to the quality of our order and shipping logistics.
You will follow the company routines, procedures, templates, and instructions
You will work closely with the Sales and Production team and you will be a vital player to
create an efficient process.
You will also support the Sales & Marketing team with conference logistics and printing of
materials.



Your tasks
Manage order inboxes (email, web shop)
Pack Navinci kits according to instructions
Prepare and arrange shipment of packages worldwide
Invoice customers
Work in our customer relations management (CRM)-system “Upsales” to register orders
and invoices
Manage product stock together with the Production Manager
Logistic support when organizing seminars, conferences and other company activities.
